The software to be used in our play would be junXion. junXion is a software tool to connect and route any USB input device such as a Joystick, Game Pad, Mouse, etc. to MIDI controlled music/sound software. junXion v1.2 runs on any Apple powerMac G3 / G4 with Mac OS X 10.2 or higher and is available for US $29. The manual of junXion can be found here.

Keyworx developed by the Waag Society looks very promising software for our play as well, maybe even better than junXion, i need to dig into it though.

Maybe STEIMs sensorlab would be nice as well. Sensorlab is a small, general purpose, analog to Midi interface for the prototyping of musical instruments and interactive control systems. Whether the computer is a central element in an artists work or simply a tool bridging a technological gap, the need for real world input and output is essential. The sensorLab connects the real world of physical phenomena and gestures via Midi to personal computers and to Midi musical and studio devices.

Apparently we can manipulate Video with midi. I don't know yet if this is possible with the junXion software, but it certainly is with keyworx!!!
